Review summary

We got on the ship at Port Canaveral which was an ordeal in itself. We made our way into our room and 2 people cannot get around at the same time. It is so small. We had a stateroom with a balcony. Stateroom 6359. We were on the Carnival Sunshine. We unpacked to get ready to explore the ship. The room is sufficient to store and hang clothes, plenty of room for that. The bathroom was very small but ok. Only one person at a time in there. The food was horrible. The passageways to get from one point to another can only hold one or two people so when you get behind older people, you have to slow down to a crawl. Since I went on a cruise in January, the weather was a bit nasty and when we went into port in the Dominican Republic, we were really late so our excursion was 5 hours and we barely got back to the ship on time. The same thing happened the next day in St. Thomas where we had another excursion and of course the same thing happened. It was on time at San Juan where we got off the ship and wandered around that city which was great and Grand Turk which is pretty but mostly all shopping and beach. The sales people in all ports were very pushy and in your face. Oh! But the sales people on the ship were the same way, in your face!! The service people were not even friendly on the ship except for the guy who cleaned our room daily. The Onboard Activities were a laugh. People who could not sing or dance, etc. I could go on and on about this. I got sick the last night we were on the ship and it was probably because everything is so clostrophobic and unclean. If I were you, I would try another cruise other than Carnival.

Keep a list of openings and closing with you of places on the ship where you would like to go because sometimes they are open and sometimes they are closed. For example, they said the pizza place was open 24 hours and it wasn't.

KKviz. Thank goodness we won't see you in April when we sail on the beautiful Sunshine. Get a life people. Life is too short to gripe and complain about everything...Sounds like you and your wife feed off each other's dislikes!!!!SMILE ONCE IN A WHILE...IT DOESN 'T HURT!!!

It simply amazes me how ppl bitch about every little thing it's not gona be perfect I guess you should have looked into it alittle better if you wanted the red carpet thrown out for ya I went on that same boat and I really liked it but you got your rights to your own opinions I hope you have a better cruise somewhere else

We went to Aruba on the sunshine in June of 2015. We had a wonderful time! We just booked our 5th cruise, this is our second on Carnival Sunshine. We leave next month for the Bahamas! I love this boat! We could drive an hour and get on the Carnival Pride for the Bahamas OR catch a flight to Florida for the Carnival Sunshine - it's like we're going to Florida!! Sorry YOU had a bad experience...

You must have never been on another cruise line buddy. The rooms are rather reasonable size. we've travelled as a family of 3 in a room with no problem. there are plenty of places to eat. If you think getting to port late is bad try missing 2 ports bc of weather in February in Mexico. ..happened to us last year. Those are the breaks. ppl walk slow bc what's the rush, it's vacation? You're in a hurry? Leave earlier. ppl cant Sing? Did u get up and try? I double dare you. I'll bet my cruise bucks you didn't. have you any idea what it takes to entertain thousands of people from hundreds of different places, cultures and nationalities? No? Ok, give it a rest...go have a drink. the only thing you didn't complain about.

My family, special friends and I are going on the Sunshine in April 2016. I cannot wait! This will be my third cruise with Carnival and I have loved everything about them. I loved the food especially . Stop complaining about everything , smile and have a good time. You are lucky to be able to go on a cruise...., many people cannot afford this pleasure.

We cruised on the Sunshine November 2015 and we loved it. I think you complained about every single possible thing. There are so many possibilities for food, you really couldn't find anything you liked. Guys burgers are always great!

Next time before booking your cruise, you should really look at ship tours and advice etc. so you know what you're expecting. We had 4 people on the Carnival Freedom, Balcony Room, it was small, but we were still able to maneuver throughout the room. You should really expect on any cruise really, a small stateroom if you go to a balcony or lower. Lucky you have the ability to go on a cruise.

sailed on the beautiful Sunshine October 2015, loved it!!!!!! got to the port around 11:45 and was in our cabin by 12:45 , our luggage arrived around 4pm. Food was great lots of things to choose from. had a special night at Fahrenheit 555 it was amazing!!!!!!!!! the only problem we had was they kept running out of ice where the lunch buffet was set up. Room was spotless, only had one slightly grumpy bartender but we made him laugh!!! yes it rained but who cares! we were on vacation!!!! enjoyed our cruise so much we are going to the Bahamas in 22 days!!!!

was just on the sunshine last month and we just had a window room which was big enough for us. even had a couch in it. it amazes me as well how people have to nit pick every little thing. was a great boat

we were on the Sunshine and did not experience any of your problems. evidently you were expecting to much. you think your room was small, its as big as all the other cruise lines standard balcony. as a matter of fact it is bigger than a lot of them. a lot of the other lines only have a queen bed instead of a king. we found our balcony pleanty big enough for 3 people.

have been on 22 and not had any of the problems you have try some other lines if you think carnival is bad must have been your first cruise
