Review summary

Overall, the cruise was great! However, our extended balcony stateroom was directly below the Havana Bar. We had to listen to loud music, people dancing and sliding chairs/tables until 2:30 AM almost every night. Before booking your room, ask about the location for noise comfort level.

I spend hours and hours checking out deck plans before choosing my cabin. I'm not brave enough to let anybody else chose it for me. Hopefully your next cruise will be better. :)

Always check out the ship layout before you book. I booked a balcony under the Lido deck a couple cruises back. Chair noise and could hear the movie playing at the pool. Overall, wasn't that bad. I've been in noisier hotels. I cannot believe Carnival rolled over and presented you a credit.

We were given on upsell on this ship when we went, inside from deck two up to inside on deck six. I figured ok can handle it right above the theater. Shows generally over by midnight. What I didn't know was it turned into a nightclub afterwards. None of the other ships I've been on have that so I didn't think about it. Yes maybe I should have done my homework but again I figured it would be fine. I learned from now on if offered on upsell to check the locations and things like that before I except it. Luck for us was I went to guest services and talked to them and they offered us a cabin back on deck two, funny thing was, it was our original cabin.

What I'm saying is I learned you need to check the deck plans out before hand.

Podna. It sounds like he isn't too bright!!!!$456. credit and 15% off next cruise and he is still crying????? What the hell does he want, a FREE cruise. Probably. 3 STARS? REALLY!!!!

we were going to get a room under the Havana bar. my agent at carnival told me that it might be loud. we took the cabin anyway. it was not loud.turns out I booked the same thing for our upcoming cruise in April. you were right under the band that is why it was loud. the Sunshine is the only ship were the extended balcony cabins are under a bar. ask questions next time. I think they were generous giving you anything. it's not there problem you booked that room with out checking the location.

Banaford you right!!! The info is readily available on the internet. Adults need to learn to take responsibility. It gets old watching people trying to get compensated for things they had choice in up front.

Carnival will not see this post. I highly advise you to take down your personal info. And all deck plans are available everywhere. And reviews. At some point we must do our research and take responsibility. That they compensated you at all surprises me. Be grateful. And whoever you cruise with again, do your homework. I hope the rest of the cruise was good.
