Review summary

it rained everyday of our cruise except for one day. the service was great and the workers even remembered  our name after learning it one time. we didn't go to one port and had another day at sea due to our weather. we had one day of sunshine. we felt the cruise line should have given us longer time on the port on the sunny day or something extra due to the weather and having more days at sea. the ship most likely made more money because we didn't get off the boat and had nothing else to do but spend money. they also didn't need to use the gas to drive us to the farthest port that day due to the weather.

Rain is only water. When you go to port you probably go to the beach. So what's the difference? It rained during our cruise in December and I laughed at all the people who ran inside. I relaxed on my lounger (sometimes with a towel on my head) and had a nap. Best time to find a great seat on Serenity is when it rains. ;)

we have been on a tender in rough water. Getty on and off can be tricky.

I never experienced a vacation with bad weather and being stuck on the boat can be frustrating for anyone. I didn't bash the workers and I know they did there best under what they were capable of doing. So my review is more with the company not with the cruise. Don't worry guys i'm not going to be going on a cruise most likely ever again, so you won't have another review to attack from me.

my comment was cut off...

I didn't have an interest in being there after dark (which is my choice I am aware of that, thank you). I just assumed if they could do that at that port, why not the other. Regardless, I just assumed they would do something extra, something small to help (like wifi for the day or a complementary drink).

easy guys. I obviously have never done one of these before. I'm not downgrading the services of the workers. I just expected more from the company in terms of something else they could have done to help with the situation. I am aware they are limited in stuff they could have done and they are not in control of the weather. They did let us stay on a port later that usual, although there was a warning of increased crime in the area and I didn't have an interest in being there after dark (which is my choice I am aware of that, thank you). I just assumed if they could do that at that port, why not the other. Regardless, I just assumed they would do something extra, something small to help (like wifi for the day or a complementary drink).   I never experienced a vacation with bad weather and being stuck on the boat can be frustrating for anyone. I didn't bash the workers and I know they did there best under what they were capable of doing. So my review is more with the company not with the cruise. A RAINY DAY ON THE SUNSHINE IS BETTER THAN A DAY IN THE OFFICE!!!!!!!!I have been on 84 cruises and have been in hurricanes, storms, etc . Still sailing and I rate entire cruise, not things cruise line cannot control!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the port you missed was the private island,  then the cruise line made less money.   On the island they make all the money for your drinks and activities.

Giving only 3 stars is not fair to all the hard working staff,  you down graded because of weather,  not service or poor food.

Would you rather they take the boat into unsafe condition and possibly something worse happens? I mean, it sucks, but I don't particularly agree with your 3 star rating... If the weather was nicer, it would've been 5 stars? You've obviously never worked customer service.

It was their island, it was determined unsafe to ferry people due to high winds and rain... I think they did everything to make up for it and added more activities on board to keep people active and entertained...

Was it a port or there island. If it was a port they should have given you a refund . It cost them money to go to each port. It is so much per person.
