Review summary

Generally a big Carnival fan, this ship was very nice inside but the exterior did not look like a recent refurbish.  The food was good but the variety was not there, dinner menu did not change much in only five days.  Formal night did not include Lobster without an up charge. For being after New Years there were lots of School age children running the halls and buffet unsupervised.  As for the Ports of call, Nassau amazingly never changes, with all the ships in port every day and no improvement in the infrastructure, next time we will stay on board.  Freeport was much nicer, should probably have that as a main stop in place of Nassau.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff at the Taste bar serving Breakfast were great, the young lady at the coffee bar was way over worked but she was a trooper and maintained great attitude and worked as fast as she could

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Beautiful inside but exterior showed some wear.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was clean and steward was great quite a bit of noise from the hallway probably too close to stairs and a lot of traffic.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
park off site cheaper and less of a walk from lot

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
either go hang out at Atlantis or stay on the boat

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
Went to the "shopping" village nicer than Nassau and a casino across the street.

If you're looking for some place reasonably priced out of Nassau book an excursion not through Carnival to Blue Lagoon day trip without the dolphin encounter you can still see them only around $65 a person less for kids make sure to get the one that includes shuttle to the ferry it's about 3 hrs spent 11-2pm there but the ferry ride itself is nice I've been twice great for all ages includes lunch

we are going April 3. we were on the Sunshine last February and had a great time. not going for the food, just the fun. agree on Nassau, we just stay on the ship there and enjoy the peace and quiet.
