Review summary

We were not seated the first night together in the dining room, as a matter of fact one of the couples was put on the late seating. When we were put together, we weren't even in the main dining room, we were seated off to the side of the kitchen. Janet Bender said we would get $150 onboard credit, we received $50. We paid our cruise in full. We were not told that we should leave a balance of at least $50 on our cruise bill and in doing that we would be eligible for rate reductions if the cruise went down. Therefore, we ending up paying $600 more for our cruise than the other couples in our group. That's a lot of money.

Cruiser233 I'm very sorry you went through all that but like everyone has said on here it can be fixed, also the cruise guy i always use to do my booking is awesome he always makes sure everything is what we want I can give u his info so the next time u book he will help you out a lot.

we have never done any time dining, we enjoy having the same wait staff for the week.

Tell that to cruiser 233, my comment to directed to getting a refund from Carnival they are more likely to honor your request if their employee error was the cause. !

That is another reason to use a Carnival PVP, you would have more recourse !

your booking agent will link all reservations together. however, you still will need to go to "my booking" on the carnival site and make sure everyone in your party has the same seating time. if they don't, the party that had a different time clicks on "edit" and changes the time of seating. I have organized 4 group cruises and we have always been able to sit together... although several times there were so many of us that we had more than one table, but always next to each other.

if you use a carnival planner you choose preference for early or late seating and make sure all in your group are linked to the same booking. only trouble we have is when some who cruise with us make their own arrangements through their own travel agent and don't get linked.

you needed to have your reservations linked (that means everyone in your party) in order to be seated together. also, when you viewed your cruise documents on carnivals website, you should have made sure everyone had the same dining time, if not that would have been the time to change it. I'm sorry you didn't have a good time, but much of your complaints could have been avoided had you done your homework.

I pay my cruise in full also. you have to fill out the paperwork for the cruise reduction and receive it as on board credit. they don't just give it to you, you need to do the homework. very satisfied with the on board credit.
