Review summary

It was disappointing not to be able to stick to the original iternary of Bermuda due to the hurricane. Also we were very disappointed that Carnival didn't step up to the plate and offer guests 50% off there next cruise or at least give passengers a chance to rebook or refund there money. Instead we were given a token 25% off the next cruise with restrictions. This was our 12th cruise with Carnival and the first time to be so discouraged with the whole experience. We were on this ship when it did its inaugural voyage as the Destiny. Now they have cut the ship up to accommodate more state rooms and more pay restaurants. Who ever saw a theater where it doubles as a night club by moving the seats around?, well this ship does!! It was so overcrowded we had to stand at the back of the comedy club for two of the shows, I'm too old for that crap! Carnival has the same menu on every ship, its just how the chef prepares it that makes it seem better or worse. Thank goodness the crew has there act together, they make the trip bearable.

I had read here that they will go to another port if they can... that's nice. I would be disappointed too if we missed our stop but thk full as well. happy with a steak dinner. they All can't be as fabulous as our first cruise. which mine stopped in belize. it was horrible place to stop. don't know why it's a port. but I know not to go there now and the time spent with friends wS wonderful. so good and bad you can't foresee. be happy and enjoy ur next cruise

We were on the same cruise and we're happy with what Carnival gave us.They didn't have to give us anything.I did not feel overcrowded at all.Almost every ship I have been on the Comedy shows are full.i get there early,wait and get a seat.Guess everyone has their own opinion

Way to go podna. We love the Sunshine and Carnival...Some people are always looking to get something free. If one thing happens that upsets them, NOTHING will make them happy.

you should Ferrell fortunate you got some offer from them. I know you are aware that you agreed to a contract that allows them to change. It wasn't carnivals fault for goodness sake. yea it would suck but that would have no bearing on my trip. I have never been to HMC after trying twice. was a bummer but I didn't let it effect my vacation.

Unfortunately Carnival can't predict the weather! this is why cruises are cheaper during hurricane season. i think it's nice they refunded anything! They are responsible for keeping the passengers safe, they are not going to go into a hurricane. Try going during the non- hurricane season!

I am sorry you did not get to go where you were scheduled. You are a seasoned cruiser, and should know by now that you are paying for a cruise, not a stop. Even though we all pick the stops we would like. No cruise line would have compensated as you requested. Try not going during hurricane season. If you do it is a chance you take, and why you tend to get better prices. A cruise is what you make it. We enjoyed the Sunshine, beats work anyday. Try Celebrity cruise lines. They may be more to your liking.
