Review summary

My ending thoughts are to think about what you want out of a vacation. This was a crowded ship with poor service. If you try for the free drinks in the casino, you only get them while at a table or machine. You cannot walk to the bar and get one. The alcohol is not top shelf..very low inventory..ran out patrone the first day, no crown royal even…again, comparing to Royal Caribbean. 15 drinks per day and they don’t carry over. Seems like a lot, but it isn’t if it is a sea day and tou stay up late

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
The ship was understaffed. The crew was stressed and not friendly at all. They made us feel unwelcome and serving us was a chore. The casino bar had 2 bartenders..we felt bad for them, but drink service at the tables was really slow

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
We are platinum on Carnival, but left them for Royal Caribbean about 8 years ago so I am comparing the 2. Carnival did not sanities anything. The tables were hastily wiped down, no Covid cleaning at all…little cleaning of any kind as compared to RC who was the opposite

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room was what you would expect for an older ship. The balcony was super small and our sliding door did not work

Ship tip

Honestly I would not sail this ship..period. We will not cruise Carnival for a long time..if ever again. My wife and I had 8000 plus gaming points and have had 2 free cruises offered to us (balconies) based on our gambling but we didn’t even take the certificates with us. When you go on vacation, you don’t need to be stressed

I was on this cruise and yes it was crowded. The staff tried their best to accommodate everyone. Imagine working 14/16 hour days without a day off. We have to show them grace

I was on this cruise... did not have any of those issues! I guess the old saying "treat people the way you want to be treated" comes into play. ALL cruise lines are having staffing issues, supply issues etc... stay home!

Yes, 15 drinks per day is a lot. Don’t be fooled, every drink counts, even those served in the bar. It is the idea of a limit that was bothersome to us

Thanks for the review. We don’t gamble or drink, so many of your issues haven’t been a problem for us.

15 drinks a day still sounds like a lot under any circumstances especially if you are getting more drinks in the Casino but as long as you can handle it, have fun.
