Overall we had fun, but I don't plan on doing a cruise again. I really disliked having to wait for 15 plus minutes for everything we needed. In the end we spent a ton of money for this trip with the drink packages and the upgraded room and it wasnt worth it due to the service and overcrowded boat.

Once we got on the boat everyone was directed to one area and it was overly crowded. It took at least 20 minites to get a drink at the bar or food for lunch.

The specialty restaurants were the best like the taco bar and burger bar. The lines at the bar and in the main dining area were wayyyyyy too long. Most of the trip I felt like was spent waiting in lines.

We went on the trip as a family and we have 2 young kids. The bartenders would not allow my husband or I to get drinks for eachother while one of us supervises the kids. Again, we spent most of the trip waiting in lines, so we had to wait at the bar one by one fore 20 minutes each. At Half Moon Bay my son and I waited about 30 minutes to get bottled water. Noone even tried to serve us, we ended up leaving the island because we were told not to bring food or drinks off the boat but then couldnt get any on the island. This was extremely dissatisfying and was the destination we looked forward to the most, and didnt get to enjoy it.

Change your drink policies, hire wayyy more staff that can promptly serve all the guests, and stop telling people they have to buyt food and drinks on your island, that ruined my experience
After 63 cruises with carnival. Most guests that get the drink packages will tell you they are a. Rip Off, and the bartenders sent like they used to be . Now they don't care if you get a drink or not
Oh no! not fifteen minutes! Lol..... sounds like you dont have the patience to have a good time. Spend that 15 minutes relaxing and enjoying the company of whoever you were cruising with.
We will be getting cheers package and if they play games or cant keep up i will be sure to get my moneys worth somehow... ill dump em out in front of there face if i have remaining drinks when ive had enough... yes they probably are under staffed for a ship thats over crowded
I'm on vacation so having to wait 15 minutes for food isn't a big deal. The food on HMC is free so I'm not sure what you're referring to with regard to having to buy food. It's best to do your research prior to cruising.
Cruising isn’t for everyone. We never spend the money on drink package as not worth it fore us. We learned right up front to research prior to booking and decided what we wanted to spend. Cruising works well for us and we don’t do without but we also don’t overspend.
Research everything...room location..how many people on ship...time of year...weather...cruise blogs...read opinions...based on your experience...your time to cruise wasn't good.. you didn't know how many cruisers..and pick different times to eat...the drink package wasnt for yoú...research and don't let that particular cruise darken the mind..it was a learning experience for the most part...very sorry for your experience..I just cruised my 8th cruise on Sunshine in July...I learned a bigger ship was not for me.experience..👌
