A ship success is not just about it Destinations and it Ports, but it about it service and activities on the ship too. To be exact, it’s customer service and activities available on board. Unfortunately Carnival Sunrise falls very short on these two important keys to success and I wouldn’t recommend anyone spending there hard saving vacation money on this ship

In summary Attitudes is how I define the wait staff for the most part. So here is the thing, we had a 6pm dining and the wait staff wouldn’t attend to us until 6:45pm. On the first day we arrived late and was basically rushed out. So we apologized and came on time the next day yet and we weren’t seen by our waiters until
close to 7pm. Then again we’re rushing out so they can get ready for the 8:15pm dinner. The food was just okay in the main dining room. Fahrenheit 51 was food very good. The wait staff there also seem to have attitude. It was a common theme throughout the ship. My family and I felt stereotype so often by the wait staff and bought to the attention to the Hotel Director. She apologized but I wouldn’t sail this ship againwho apologized for her
Onboard Activities

Chris The Flying Scotsman’s and his squad were the best and there events in the lobby were also the best and that was what we enjoyed. They were very entertaining and often made up for the ship that lacks lot of activities to do besides Bingo. Other than that nothing else was. The pools are overcrowded and too small. There is only 2 pools and the hot tubs were crowded with kids. There is only one hot tub in the adult serenity area and it’s a little bigger but not much. The casino is often too smoky and the Sports Square was smaller than expected.. with just a couple of games.

Chris and his squad was very entertaining but that was it. Everything was just ok and could be better. The DJ was entertaining but when he shouted out in the club “is Grand Concourse in the House?” For my Non NYC people reading this, it’s a Street in The Bronx that was it for me...
My thought is as a New Yorker you leave NYC to see other things and hear other things and be global. I don’t want to go on vacation and take the grind and hustle of NYC with me. No offense to the BX some of my family and friends are from there and they would agree that when we go on vacation we want to get away from it all and relax and have fun globally

Horrible
They have itinerary and schedule that they don’t really keep too. I bought my 3 year old daughter there and she crying amongst other fighting to okay with the limited about of toys. I take her for finger-painting hour and there not doing it.. I tried taking her twice and it was a no go. My 11 year daughter was bored when she went. My summation, It was a lazy babysitting service and that’s it. This explains why I saw more kids hanging out in the stairways and running in the hallways then you see in the kids clubs... as my 3 year said after her second try going to the kid’s club- “no more kid’s club mommy” even 3 weeks after the cruise she keeps saying it..

Shore Excursions Desk, the worst I have ever experienced. I reported them to the Hotel Director. I believe it was Veronica and Josef who stereotype me and my family the worst. I will send a direct letter to Carnival about them.. Here is what happen. We are a party of 12 with 5 kids. So I went to the Shore Excursion desk to ask about what would they recommend for St. Thomas and Grand Turk. Veronica barely speaks and hands me a catalogue. I asked her again for feedback and she tells me to look at the catalogue. I again the next day and meet a Josef with my cousin and tell him we read the book and show him our possible choices looking for feedback and again more attitude. It wa the worse and for tthe app. I tell him you don’t have any recommendations. He says will no one ever complained. I told him
That is not feedback and he kept giving attitude. Then when mwe just feedback. He tells me look

A CRUISE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. Go on with a funky, bad attitude like yours and you will definitely have a bad time!!! Try smiling once in a while!!!!!!
