Review summary

We had fun on The ship and at the excursions. However my husband was sea sick for 85% of the time so we will not be cruising again.

Embarkation

Very organized. Worth paying for the FTTF.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The ships vibration was very strong sitting in restaurants. The food was average. I found myself ordering room service to get full.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools were small and over chlorinated. The shows we're great. Bingo was fun. The deck 12 activities were so windy i couldn't be up there.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The show's were great. I loved the lobby entertainment.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The room service team was top notch. The eating areas were clean and the crew worked very hard to keep the decks clean and dry.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
My only issue was the 2 balcony rooms at the front of deck 10 are obstructed view and anyone one the front of deck 10 can walk around and see clear into our room. Had to keep curtains closed if we weren't out on balcony. The boat was always clean. I hate the lack of trash cans.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed was soft and the pillows were great. This room was small. A room service tray had to come in sideways because the entrance was so narrow. A heavy person wouldn't have been able to fit without turning sideways. The shower was the perfect temp and great pressure. The balcony has only half an ocean view. The other half looks out onto deck 10 walkway.... And anyone on the walkway could look right into our room.

Ship tip

If you get motion sick go for a room mid ship and on a lower deck. The front and back are very rocky. Or take a plane. Lol

Ports of call

We embarked and debarked from NY. The crew was very nice and organized.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

This is a CITY! I wouldn't have gotten off board without an excursion. We went 4wheeling at a hacienda. The guide was great and the 4wheelers were brand new. The bathrooms were a bit rustic for my taste. The bus ride was about 20 min and the bus was clean and spacious.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

This is a tourist area and well set up for it. Getting off without an excursion would have been fine. We went zip lining. This was so much fun! Our guides were fun and knowledgeable. We felt very safe. It was about 15 minutes on a transport truck to get there and back. Well Worth the money!

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
This is a tourist area well organized and easy to get off without an excursion. The transport to the segway excursion took about 10 minutes. The guide was nice and the segways are easy to use. The island was nice though we could see all the damage from the hurricanes. Everyone has a laid back island attitude. I would do this again.

Disembarkation

Very organized. FTTF was well worth the money for my family.

Sooo sorry about your husband getting seasick.i don’t know where your room was on the ship but mid ship l heard is good and eating green apples helps, Dramamine too! I wear the wristbands they say helps and I never had a problem! 🤷🏼‍♀️☹️🤭👍🏼🛳

A cruise is really the best way to travel after air fare and hotel you couldn't go to as many ports. The ship is like a floating hotel and several eatery's to choose from as well as entertainment. Get the sea and for your husband and try cruising again

A friend we travel with also gets car sick, and is sold on the Dramamine, and the wrist bands. Also a good diet is helpful.

There a seabands, patches etc that really help seasickness. Why not give it another shot.
