Review summary

This was the best vacation we ever had and have booked our next cruise already. We enjoyed the variety of entertainment and times available so we could coordinate with other plans.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great, awesome service from all personnel. We would like to see a better system for obtaining sodas. It was difficult to get a soda when we wanted one, many times having to wait 15+ minutes at a bar just to get a soda. Suggestion would be to have soda machines in which the sail & sign card could be scanned to obtain a soda.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Being a senior (55+) we were not interested much in physical activities. It was difficult to use the pools due to the number of children in them. A suggestion might be to have one pool allocated as adult only or have specific times allocated to adult only time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Cruise Director was awesome, did a great job. We enjoyed the comedy shows, musical shows, game shows. Always something available to entertain cruisers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
If there was a category better than excellent, we would give it a higher rating. Our room steward Wayan did an awesome job. All of the waiters in the dining room delivered great service. Everyone was always smiling and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Once we figured out the layout and how to navigate throughout the ship, it was fine. Common areas were always being maintained and kept clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin size and comfort were good. We did experience problems with not having cabin lights except for the bathroom. The cabin lights were then turning on and off at random when the balcony door was opened and closed. They also came on at 3:00 am and then wouldn't go off. Once we addressed it with our steward Wayan the next morning on our way to breakfast, he said he would take care of it and it was fixed when we returned from breakfast. We felt that Wayan was like family.

Ship tip

Sign up early due to demand for cruises out of Norfolk.

Ports of call

Norfolk, Virginia

5 out of 5
We live in Hampton Roads and since it was the port of departure and return, there were no excursions. We love the fact there is cruises out of Norfolk, very convenient. Wish there was more availability this fall out of Norfolk.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Had a great time, we did not do an excursion but did go to Atlantis for lunch and then to cabbage beach.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
We did the All inclusive Beach day, it was awesome but wish it would have been longer. Just when we were really enjoying ourselves it was time to leave but yet the boat was still in port for an additional 3 hours.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were towards the end of the process, we relaxed at the pool deck waiting our room deck to be called. Process was smooth
