Review summary

Was a fun group cruise (about 20 from our church) to a part of the country I had never been, but will definitely go back to!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We flew into NYC the morning of the cruise, had a shuttle to the port and then when we got there, we were told no one was allowed to check in/ board for a few hours... we ended up waiting a while but finally got on the ship...

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
This was the only cruise I’ve done where I’ve had traditional dining, and I was not a fan... although the food was tasty and I tried several things for the first time (escargot, alligator and my first time having lobster...)

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There seemed to be limited activities, and the few they did have the staff didn’t seem to want to be there... but we still had fun and made our own activities too...

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows we went to were good, the comedy was funny, and there was a hypnotist that was very entertaining.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I thought the decor was interesting... but the layout was just plain stupid... in order to get to our assigned dining room, you had to go up a floor, down a hall and then down a floor... annoying, but we dealt with it... For the most part the ship wasn’t horrible, but it’s at the bottom of my favorite ships I’ve sailed on...

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had an Ocean View cabin with 3 people. This room was very spacious, and the couch turned into the 3rd bed, however it was always made into a bed, so it was unuseable the whole week (I don’t sit on other peoples beds...) We also had an adjoining cabin, but didn’t know the people next door so never opened the door, but we could hear their young children each morning and at night as well...
