Review summary

Overall enjoyed this cruise. We’re in our 60s so this is for us an RandR time and we did that . Found out a little money saving thing , pool bar single margarita $11-12, get a pitcher of Margaritas, =4 drinks for about $26.

Embarkation

Not the ships fault, was raining horribly in Long Beach. Drenched when we arrived on the ship, good thing they handed out towels.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Happy with all the menu options in MDR. Tried the BBQ for 1st time, not my favorite.Love the Mongolian Wok but lines were long. The full cakes offered ( by the piece) they looked good but had pecan or walnut shells in my German chocolate cake. Tried the Tandoor by aft pool, interesting choices, it was good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We like to do karaoke and we had a good size group of good singers, enjoyed the little contest too. Negative as always is that new crew are learning how to use the system and can’t find songs.plenty of outdoor events to watch and Lee Mason CD was great.

Ship Quality

The only problem was getting to the dining room for high tea, had to find, seemed others had the same problem. The rest of the ship was fairly easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This is considered an interior cabin, forward but it has a window facing forward. This cabin is right under the bridge. There is a public area in front of your window but not too many used the area. When we arrived in Cabo we were able to go out there and see the whales. The room seemed a bit smaller but since we don’t spend much time there it was fine. Curtains have to be closed at night for navigation reasons.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

4 out of 5
This is a tender port so unless you are platinum, diamond or purchased faster to the fun you need to get a numbered ticket the day before or you won’t be off the ship till after 1pm.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
