Review summary

Where do I start - I guess a few months before the trip (after final payments were made) when Carnival chose to change one port from Victoria to Vancouver and then completely altered the itinerary (with no explanation) which affected excursions. Other than our room steward, Richard, his assistant Aries, our head waiter I Gusti Made, and bar servers MoMo and Delia who were all awesome, the cruise was a disappointment and we will choose another cruise line for future cruises and suggest the same to friends and family.

It is a bit disappointing however as stated it would not matter what cruise company you book with if it's un safe for whatever reason then would it not be better to change ports ? The excursion are fully refundable if you booked through the ship 🚢 that's one of the reasons why they encourage people to book with them they are a bit more expensive but at least you are guaranteed to go or get refund .. they will also wait for you if your running late if you book through the ship we have had itinerary's changed however disappointed you are at the time you can always book and go again ports are changed for reasons and can happen any time no guarantees whoever you chose to cruise with shame you blamed the ship for the issues when all they were doing was looking after the passengers safety ....

It is disappointing indeed, however the cruise line would change itinerary if weather at departure port or any other ports has deteriorated. They do this rarely, I am told, only if the weather poses safety hazard to passengers, crew and ship. Hope you don’t get such scenarios again in future when you cruise, regardless of the cruise line you choose.
