We had a very good time. My wife and I were not interested in any side trips while in the ports but we did walk around and shop a little. This was a very relaxing vacation for a couple of senior citizens.
Embarkation

A little tense at first, we accidently went to the terminal for the Vista. But after discovering our error we were helped by Carnival Managers and everything was fine after that. Boarding was a breeze once at the Splendor.

Food and Dining

The Gold Pearl Restaurant was very nice and the service was great. The Menu had good variety and good food. We ate at the Pinnacle Steak House one evening and it was worth the extra expense, the food was great and service was excellent. The buffets were very good at breakfast and lunch, Pirate pizza very good and freshly made pizzas 24 hrs.

Very well kept and clean. One kind of annoyance was getting from the Gold Pearl Dining Room to the Lobby on Deck 3 You had to go up to deck 5 to get past the galley and the Black Pearl restaurant and then go back down to deck 3. Not a big deal as there are elevators and stairs.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were very happy with the balcony cabin, it was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. Our cabin steward Allan was great. The cabin was very clean and everything worked.
Ship tip
There was only one outlet (120 volt AC) in the cabin, so if you have a few devices that need charging bring a small power strip.
Fairly easy, luggage pickup was like airport conveyors, some long lines getting through customs. But overall amazing considering there could be 3000 passengers getting off.
