This was however beyond Carnival's control. Out explanation was that it was a problem with Customs disembarking the previous passengers which resulted in boarding delays and the large line of people backed up from their originally scheduled boarding. Talking with cruise passengers who cruise frequently usually embarkation is smooth and efficient.

I thought it was good. It was set up to keep the flow of traffic clear and it was easy to get places and find things. The staff was constantly cleaning and on top of keeping the ship spotless.

We especially enjoyed this port. We did an excursion arranged on the ship prior to the port call. The excursion was Outback Dominican Adventure with lunch and it was outstanding! Our tour guide was Eddie Murphy and our driver was Miguel and they were both great. They were very knowledgeable and made our trip great. I highly recommend this excursion.
Very easy and efficient. I definitely recommend getting the Mobile Passport app as it would make the process of getting through customs and immigration even easier.
Gotta love customs and their ways of doing business.
I'm a solo cruiser at times and they will go a great lengths to question me and my reasons for taking a vacation alone. I told them the first time that the I was on was my first vacation in 17 years and I wasn't dating nor married. His response was to stare at me.
