They stopped my friends from smoking on the balcony also it's dangerous as they throw their cigs over board and it can blow back in on another level. Usually guest services takes care of your concerns. We have had an issue on almost all ships and they were always quick to resolve and accommodate. Been on 25 cruises so we have been to guest services more than a few times lol One time we lost our Birth certificates at the beginning of the cruise and didn't realize it till the end...they were very helpful in finding them for us. Best of Luck on your next cruise

Most ships don't allow smoking on the balconies anymore. You should of called guest services and checked. They have a few designated smoking areas on the ship, usually up above the pool deck.
