Review summary
I'm sorry to say, that this cruise was a disaster. We found out a day before, that the cruise has a maintenance issue. They offered us a refund at no cost or the option to still take the cruise. We decided since we already took off, to still go.
Every day, the cruise captain had to change the itinerary due to the ship issue - which turned out to be one of the engines malfunctioning.
The agent I spoke to with you, at , had advised me to ask on board for a room upgrade as she was not able to offer it prior to the cruise. And then when we got onto the cruise, the guest service agents told us they don't offer upgrades on the cruise - that they aren't able to upgrade. Only the agents prior to boarding are able to offer that. I was actually pretty annoyed.
The boat was old and completely outdated looking. The food was mediocre. The service on the ship was fantastic and kudos to them for taking the best care they could with all the drama that was going on with everyone being pretty annoyed.
Never again, unfortunately.

ArdnasAral , sorry you had a bad experience with your past agent BUT your wrong. Just as someone decides to not cruise on a certain ship because of a bad past cruise, you should find another agent. I am an agent and can tell you I DO NOT get paid by YOU but by the cruise line. There are many additional perks I offer my clients that you won't get from directly booking with the cruise line to include promo upgrades (the cruise line won't advise you of price drops or better promos as they are introduced), extra amenities and additional onboard credit just to name a few. Agents are also more personal and are aware of all that is involved in your booking unlike when dealing direct with the cruise line where you have to explain to a new rep every time you call about your booking. As with any sales position, the happier your clients are, the more likely they will return and recommend you to others.
