Review summary

Very different service level than normal.  My bathroom was not cleaned once.  There was a ring in the toilet from the day we arrived until the day we left.  I NEVER met my room steward.  Dinner waits were one hour plus - causing us to miss shows.  Comedy shows - standing room only.

 

I complained during the cruise - nothing was done.  I will probably switch to RC

Dirty - sand in sheets (they were not changed) and dirty toilet. They do not clean morning and night anymore - bad decision if you ask me

Wow! Currently on the Splendor and the service is impeccable! Our room steward, Komang, is wonderful...he does a thorough cleaning twice a day. We have YTD and have been seated w/i 10 minutes every night but 1 (30 minute wait)...we received a hand written apology and pastries from the hostess in our stateroom the next day. Sorry you had a bad experience.

I have never been on a cruise where I never saw my cabin steward. This is why I tip daily and at the end of the cruise in addition to gratuities to make sure my cabin is always clean and have towels. I am one who does ATD and have never waited over 10 minutes but we always get there early.

I think it's sad also when people have to attack someone they don't even know. I also like to hear both sides because you care about the service you get also on a vacation. If I was staying at a Hotel and was not getting room service I'd be complaining to my friends and other people. The front desk on the ship should have been taken care of that problem

Why is it when someone has a bad experience and post it on a forum, there is always someone there to attack them? I appreciate hearing both the good and bad so I can weigh my options. No need to belittle people because you had a better experience then they did.

Yep, best to switch cruise line and try your attitude there. Never ever did we not see our room stewards. In fact usually a fabulous part of each cruise. Let's keep carnival the FUN SHIP.

I myself would complain to Carnival about the bathroom incident. The other you need to be there early so you don't have to stand. I always eat at the early time for dinner and I always just go to my table. That's why I don't like the my time dinner arrangement because you can be standing for awhile.

You need to get to comedy shows 30-45 min early to get a seat learned that after standing the first time get there early no problems dinners can run long plan on later shows or eating at buffet if you need to be somewhere early you need to plan carefully and sometimes it's just not possible to do everything that day
