Review summary

This was our first cruise... food was great, met some fun people, plenty to keep people of all ages busy. The only downside was the pools are very small and not deep even the adult pool was only a little over 4 ft deep. Before booking the cruise a lot of people complained about the tacky décor... I found the décor whimsical with an inspiration from Dr. Seuss. Excursions are a bit overpriced... went through a different vendor and saved tons of money. We got the bubbles soda package for the week, reasonably priced for around $36.00 a person, we did not buy the cheers package that was around $56 a per person per day. My other gripe was the boarding and debarking process on the first and last day of the cruise. It was very unorganized and created many unnecessary lines. Then once you board the ship and begin to get settled, they have a practice Muster drill... again more waiting in lines in the heat. I understand it is for our safety, but it was something that could have been explained in a video. or done by individual muster groups.

Muster station H

We were under the public decks right by the life boats. Not a lot of airflow through there.

So where exactly do they host the muster drill? On the Breeze we had ours in the Ovation Theater

We lucked out during the drill. We were all gathered waiting and listening. Is was getting hotter and hotter!!!! Then a fast hard rain came through and really cooled it off. But made a mess of the adult pool/bar area!!! All in all it was no big deal!!! Got to do it!

Was on the Splendor 4 weeks ago and can't understand why Carnival can't copy what Norwegian does for their muster drill. They do theirs in groups inside the ship, no standing and waiting for people to mozzie on down to the outside deck in the heat.

Been on lots of carnival ships I love them all and nice to have some brightness I am sure I will like it.

It's because people don't follow rules or listen

Was on same cruise! Me and the wife had tons of fun! We had great weather too! Try the "fttf" next cruise. We got on the ship in 15 min and we were able to chose early or late when getting off. We chose early and once again off in less than 15 min. Luggage was priority as well.
