Review summary

You were supposed to give me and my 2 girls a $50.00 onboard credit and you did not.  We called you before we got underway about the credit and you said that you would apply a credit for $50.00 back on my charge card so please make sure you do this.  Also, we were supposed to have a sofa in the cabin but we had a pull down bed which was very disaapointing and uncomfortable.  I don't

think I will ever book through you again.

I find reviews like this laughable!! Over a week with numerous replies and the OP hasn't responded to ANY of them. I have been reading too many reviews that seem to be nothing more than a "cut & paste" job from an original letter that the poster "MAY" have sent to the cruise line or agent they booked through. Come on folks, have some originality!!!

You're fired.... Now give me money. LOL!

skyerider    9 years ago

you know, now that you mention it I don't recall seeing that on my upcoming cruise when we booked it either.

Ok. I do too. I don't recall seeing an option for table size on Carnival before. My last cruise we were seated at a table for 6 but there were only 4 of us seated there. We had a great time getting to know our table mates and ended up doing a lot with them. We still stay in touch.

skyerider    9 years ago

No Teresa, we generally do the early dinner

stroz1776    9 years ago

That's awesome. we have met a multitude of awesome people on our vacations that we always keep in touch with its hard to schedule a vacation with them but one day, hopefully

TeresaC1963    9 years ago

I didn't know you could choose the size of your table. Is that on your time dining?

skyerider    9 years ago

we always choose sitting at a large table at dinner, 6 or more, that way you get to know your fellow cruisers, I have several friends that I have met at dinner that I still keep in touch with and we still plan cruises when we can. and if you end up with a bunch of flakes you can always ask to change tables, hahaha

**make** your cruise your own not mask. Lol

stroz1776    9 years ago

we typically stayed at resorts all inclusive of course, but the thought of taking cruises seems much more appealing. we are super excited to go on this cruise. hope we meet some awesome people!

Great advice from Skyerider. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and masks your cruise your own. It will only take one to be hooked. Have fun and enjoy.

stroz1776    9 years ago

well said, thank you so much! the wife and I are very very laid back and easygoing. we don't expect to be treated like royalty and of course we try to make it easy on the staff whenever we are on vacation.

stroz1776 ... don't be nervous I absolutely loved my first cruise which was also on the splendor. When you look at a site like this, you have to weed through the whiners listen to the good advice and most of all its your cruise it will be exactly what you make it to be. so go have fun

stroz1776    9 years ago

Oh man. getting nervous, our first cruise ever is with carnival in December on the splendor and getting a bit nervous from all of the reviews I am seeing

skyerider    9 years ago

Sean2648    9 years ago

lol. I was more then satisfied with mine. Worth every penny at about $30

TeresaC1963    9 years ago

I just bought one Sean. Lol

TeresaC1963    9 years ago

Thanks Sean.

Sean2648    9 years ago

or if you go on Groupon.com they sell a portable charger that can charge 4 devises at one time. Love my charger :)

TeresaC1963    9 years ago

Mar Take a multi outlet adapter or extension cord (without surge protector). There is only one outlet per cabin. I wish I had this app before my cruise so I would have known that. It's really hard to keep phones and tablets charged on one outlet. Lol

And àlways always print your paperwork and bring to with you!

TeresaC1963    9 years ago

Did you book through Carnival or travel site such as cruise only? As others have already said if it's Carnival, you are way off by posting here. But if you booked through Cruise Only, you still need to contact them directly. Even though they offer this app, it is still just for cruisers to share with each other. It's not a complaint center to reach the website.

How unfortunate that this cruise was not what you expected.  I suggest that you call and write to Carnival directly about your inboard credit if it is not credited on your credit card.  If you booked through a travel agent, have him/her write also. Good luck.

So sorry you were disappointed in your cruise, but this forum is NOT connected to Carnival. It's for cruise passengers to comment on or ask questions about their cruise. If you expect Carnival to respond to your comment, you're going to be disappointed again. Contact Carnival directly. As far as the bed situation, Carnival's website will show you set up for each cabin.

You do know this site is not run by the cruise lines, right!
