Review summary

My husband and I both were both first time cruisers, and we went with another couple who were good friends of ours. The absolute best part of this cruise was casino lol!! We spent most of our time in there (spent way too much but what are you going to do)! The back of the boat Lido Deck was the best place for couples to relax, swim, drink and eat during the day. Our server EVERY DAY was the same guy, his name was Roel, and he was SO much fun! We actually booked another cruise on this ship for next year in May and my husband said 'make sure Roel is there, he was the best'! He really did make our trip worth every penny. It was almost like he found us wherever we went on the boat lol, always there with our favorite drinks and memorized our Sail and Sign number so we didn't have to get it out and give it to him every time, which was really convenient. There was another crew member in the Casino my husband bonded with and was there for us all the time as well. The service everywhere was phenomenal.

We ate in the Gold Pearl every night and had early dining (which we will never choose again because we always in a hurry trying to get ready after a day of playing whether on the boat or at one of the stops) The food was a little bland every night except for the last two nights which were amazing, not sure why that was.

We also chose to purchase the 'Faster to the Fun' pass before we went, which was a huge convenience! We were literally the third couple to walk onto the boat when they started boarding in Miami, and we were one of the first off and didn't have to wait in line to go through customs either! We were always the first to get off at the different ports as well, so I would highly recommend getting that!

The cruise director was SO much fun! Every time we ran into him we was making us laugh!!

Overall though, we had so much fun we booked for one year later!

The shopping was not that good and if you chose not to do an excursion it was just boring. No free access beaches, you had to get a cab to anything you wanted to do, and we actually ended up going back to the boat to eat lunch because everything was so expensive!

Senor Frogs was a blast, and the shopping area right off the port was very nice, but, the barters were extremely pushy and upset me after a few shots of Tequila lol. I just felt very uncomfortable at most areas.
