Review summary

The ship - Carnival's Splendor - was just the right size - large enough to have a variety of venues and activities - small enough to not get lost, and to learn my way around in just a couple of days. In terms of the activities, there was something for everyone, with just enough 'down time' built in to not get overwhelmed.

Loved the dolphin swim! Definite highlight of the trip. The beach was in walking distance of the trip - a definite plus - but the water had a lot of debris floating in it.
Don't Miss: Dolphin swim

Walking around old town was simply too hot - nothing you can control, though! The beach was beautiful, but hard to get to. Isn't there a way to take a tender directly from the ship to the beach? Also, our excursion (snorkeling) got cancelled because of rough water - again, nothing you can control, but a disappoinment.
Don't Miss: Beach

Pros: the variety of activities on the ship

Cons: the interior of the ship was cold! i packed cruisewear - shorts, t-shirts, sundresses. I needed more jackets and long pants!
