Review summary

The ship was nicely decorated and comfortable, but my husband and I received bunk beds in a handicap room for the week. When we attempted to resolve the situation, the Purser was not exactly sympathetic nor able to change our room. In fact, the Purser blamed the fact that I booked through Alaska Airlines ("AA") as the problem. I have been a loyal AA customer for years and, as I believed from the beginning, the problem was not with AA. AA was great in its attempts to resolve the problem, but nothing could be done, so we accepted it for what it was and aimed to have a good cruise regardless. It was a lovely cruise, despite the discomfort of the single bunk beds. Just be ready to get out early if you want a lounge chair near the pools - they crowd up very quickly! Also be ready for a lot of kids, a number of which whose parents believe the ship is the babysitter - i.e., no true parental supervision so they run wild with little reprimand.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Definitely book a dinner at the Steakhouse - the ambiance and service is far superior to the rest of the dining options on the ship. It does, however, cost extra, but worth the money.

Service and Staff

Poolside service - amazing. Steward - amazing. Purser - could use some customer service training.

Cabin / Stateroom

The Steward was fantastic and the room clean. Had we not gotten bunk beds, the rating would be much higher.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Unfortunately we went during major construction all along the beach front stores and restaurants. Had to go a bit of distance until we actually hit a spot to relax and enjoy the beach, sounds, and food. Otherwise, it's lovely.
Don't Miss: The blue chairs!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Great spot for shopping and $2 beers (which you'd otherwise pay $6.50 for on the ship).
Don't Miss: Parasailing

Pros: Spa Services

Cons: Crowded; bunk beds in the room
