Review summary

Not what I expected from Carnival Splendor in comparisson to Carnival Paradise. Carnival Splendor might be a better or newer ship but the customer experience didn't match. Needs a lot of improvement. Will try Royal or Norwegian cruise lines next trip.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was average. Waited an hour and 15 minutes on the Mongolian Buffet. Could've added another chef instead of only two.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Showtime dancers were a little stiff and lacks of energy. The singing and the band were great but the dancers or the show itself needs improvement.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I used to work at Ritz Carlton, Loews Hotels and Renaissance Hotels and the ship service isn't bad at all. Friendly staff.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Since it's a newer ship, it's good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom was exeptional. Nothing I can ask for.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
Too much tourists atmosphere. Two days was more than enough.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

3 out of 5
Zip lining and shopping.

Pros: Dining Server and Stateroom Attendant were on top of service

Cons: Checked in on a top of trash bin due to long lines, very short notice on sail itenerary, showtimes needs a lot of improvement

Recommends Carnival Splendor? No.
