My husband and I have fallen head over heels in love with cruising. Once you cruise, you’re hooked.

Embarkation

Fast! This is the first time we cruised from this port. Literally parked, checked luggage and onboard in 5 minutes. We did have a checkin time of 1:30 pm so when we arrived our room was ready. The workers in the terminal were ALOT nicer in Mobile than in New Orleans. Every worker was nice. Parking is prepaid at PremiumParking.com and even with our later arrival time, spaces were still vacant.

Always something to do. I enjoyed walking and exploring. The Warehouse (arcade) on Deck 4 was my favorite spot. Pools were, as on most ships, were full with kids but we had sea excursions so that wasn’t a big deal to us. My favorite thing was the ice carving. Very neat.

Entertainment

The staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest enjoyed themselves. From Karaoke to Charades, you won’t be bored. But one thing that the Spirit has is Soul Play, you can paint at sea which fills up fast. I advise securing a reservation as soon as you have access to the HUB app.

Service and Staff

The staff kept smiles on their faces! Their goal was to ensure everyone had a great time. Our room steward “Putra” was amazing. He remembered our one request the entire ship and it didn’t go unnoticed. Very hard worker. Great great waiters as well in MDR.

This ship was always being cleaned. The staff went above and beyond. Great job carnival.

Ship tip

It’s vacation. Smile, say thank you for the hard work the staff puts in. Everyone seemed to be appreciative of a simple thank you. Meet new people and be grateful for the blessing of being able to vacation with an amazing team!

Bimini, Bahamas

If I were to come again, I would do the free beach instead of Resorts World. It was a cheap excursion as there is not much to do per the locals. Resorts world has a loud DJ area, so if you’re sensitive to extreme music, just dip in the pool or lay out ❤️

The best stop. A beautiful area and place. You can frequent inside the port area or extend your search out beyond the area which we did and found that the prices were more reasonable.

Disembarkation

Debarkation is always a challenge. You will have the option of staying in your room until 8:30 or sitting on levels 9 or 2 while you’re waiting for your Muster Station to be called if you choose express check out. If you do not, your luggage tags will be collected at guest services and you wait until your luggage number is called. Once through customs, it was a 5-10 minute process as you have to wait on an elevator to take you to the appropriate parking level in the garage. Even with the hustle and bustle, Mobile Staff was exceptionally nice with this process.

Thanks for the feedback. You are my kind of cruiser! Also, thanks for the compliment on the Mobile cruise terminal staff. My wife and I are representatives there, (we are some of the group who process people in) and we hear that often. You may have made that statement to me. 😉 I'll pass this along to the cruise terminal general manager...

I was on this ship a few years ago when my wife and I, were following in love with cruising. two 👍👍for you and your husband on his birthday. My wife and I are on the Vista on Thanksgiving.
