Overall we all had a great time. We are all avid cruisers and get to cruise about 5 times a year, so the minor hiccups we experienced were not a big deal. Most of us are Platinum with Carnival and have been on many of their ships. It seems that like all corporations these days, that Carnival is cutting back in several areas.
Embarkation

Ran smoothly once they started boarding. Had a 10 am arrival time, boarding started at 11 am. Our group was called at 1130. Not a big deal but sat in terminal for 1 and a half hours.

Most food was good. Quick to get
tables in buffet and anytime dining in MDR. Service was lacking a few nights in the MDR. Not blaming servers. Short staffed, taking care of several tables, with no assistants. Missing orders, wrong orders received, and long wait times to even place orders on a few nights. Drink orders not placed with bar until 2 reminders and long wait Not a big deal for us, but definitely noticed a degradation in service from previous Carnival cruises.

Entertainment

Talented musicians throughout the ship. Especially, Felicia in the piano bar. Comedians were all good. Production shows were all good. We've seen most of them before, Worth seeing again.
Service and Staff

Waiters were average to good. Same waiter one night was fantastic, next night overwhelmed, wrong orders, hot dishes arrived slightly warm. Drink orders forgotten, etc. Not the server's fault. Handling too many tables with less help. We are understanding and overly nice to these hard working crew members. Room steward did the very basics. Made the bed, changed the towels and emptied the trash. I don't think surfaces were ever wiped down or carpet vacuumed the entire cruise. We actually had to sanitize and clean the bathroom upon arrival. Hair in the shower, dirty glasses, toothpaste spray on mirror and Grey crud hanging out of bathroom vent. After a box of Clorox wipes and Lysol, all was good. Room steward didn't come around until early evening.
Ship Quality

We like this class of ship. Just the right size and easy to make your way around. Never had to wait for an elevator. Ship is older and definitely showing its age. Well maintained for the most part. Experienced dirty restrooms on occasion, empty hand sanitizer dispensers, tables around lido area not always cleaned well. Again, not blaming the crew, they seemed overwhelmed. When asked if they can wipe the table etc. they weremore than happy to do so.
Cabin / Stateroom

Comfortable and lots of closet space. Everything worked except the safe. They tried to reset it, but it never worked.
Ship tip
See all the theater shows and comedy shows. Enjoy the live music throughout the ship. The sea day brunch in the MDR is good.
Had a great time on Half Moon Cay. A few weeks ago we were on Holland America and didn't get much time and it was very crowded with 2 larger ships in Port. This time we were the only ship that day. Quick tender no wait. Lots of seats, good buffet. Had a great day.
Thank you for sharing your review. Sounds like you travel prepared like most these days, disinfectant wipes and spray are a must. Although we do desire the rooms to be prepared for us prior to us arriving, sometimes we just don’t get it. Happy you were able to enjoy your cruise inspite of. Thanks for your pictures too!
