Review summary

Although it's not the latest and greatest, the Carnival Spirit is full of good times and memories to be made. The service from the staff was great and we had a great relaxing vacation on her. I would recommend this ship for solo travelers, couples, or families.

Quick to board from Miami, and I thought the way they quickly ushered everyone to their muster station upon boarding was brilliant! No 3:00 announcements about needing some passengers to complete their mustering.

Menu hasn't changed much over the years, but the food quality seems to have gone down overall. Staff was amazing, though, and the dining areas were all clean.

This was the best part, in my opinion. Variety of very talented entertainers and super friendly cruise director, Erin. Really enjoyed the house band at the Red Frog Pub!

She is an older ship but well maintained. Carnival Spirit has a bit different decor and layout compared to some of the other classes I have sailed on, so it took a day or so to get used to it.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an inside cabin, but it had a floor and ceiling window (with a view of a lifeboat), but it was still nice to have some sunlight at times.
