Review summary

The Carnival Spirit was not laid out as well as the Triumph or the Victory. The weather was a little overcast between San Diego and Cabo and the water was rough as well. Cabo was beautiful, but we felt as though we had lost a port with the exclusion of Mazatlan, even though we had an extra day in Cabo. La Paz was a little disappointing, we should have gone to the beach instead of the town. The food was terrific, especially the sushi bar and the pizzeria. The shows and the activities on the ship need to be updated, such as the legends show.

The best things were enjoying the beach and a visit to Senior Frogs as well as a little shopping at the market.

La Paz, Mexico

Not much to do in the town, poor shopping and lack of beach area.

Pros: the sushi bar, the pizzeria, our room steward Athicome and Babu the magician

Cons: the air conditioning, the rough waters, the coffee and the lack of sliced lemons for water

Recommends Carnival Spirit? No.
