Since Dorian was bearing down on Florida we were a but nervious. Carnival was great at communicating the change of port order and then the cancellation of two ports. If you need to evacuate a storm what better way than a cruise ship? We had a great time and met some very nice people from South Africa. The Art auction and Fun Shop Jewelry people were all great to talk to and share stories.
Embarkation

Embarkation was easy and smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was not as good or varied as past trips. There seemed to be no theme for the grill options with plain pork chops or chicken breasts every day. A rabbit dish, frog legs and ox tongue. The wait staff was very attentive but kept forgetting items ordered.
Onboard Activities

Bingo was fun. The pool was buy but had some great live music. Overall plenty of things to do the entire cruise.

E167 was clean and very comfortable. We had originally booked for 3 people but one had to back out. It would have been tight with 3 but 2 it was great.
Ship tip
make sure you have a ship map on hand or use Hub. To get to the Ecstasy Dining room you need to use the Aft stairs and not walk through deck 8.
Grand Turk was beautiful and clean. Dominican Repoublic the pier was very long. They had cycle rickshaws to take you to the terminal for a few tip dollars. No fees were charged.
We took a tour of the island and it was alot of fun. They took us to the lighthouse where we saw many donkeys walking around. The guide actually fed them some bread. Shopped some local shops for souveneurs.
My wife has a bad back and cannot stand or walk far. We waited for 30 minutes for assistance off the ship. Then we were left in a waiting area for awhile. Others in wheel chairs were escorted to customs while we waited. Once I asked why we had to wait did they realize their mistake and they then assisted us to customs.
