First, it was clean but it was too small. It was not conducive to a married senior couple. I'm 67 years old and I had to climb a ladder each night in an extremely cold room and sleep alone without the warmth of my wife laying next to me. I tried to adjust the temperature to no avail. It was difficult to sleep because it was so cold however once we got warm we were able to finally get some rest. I feel this put a damper on our birthday vacation. We hadn't cruised in over 20 years and we chose to celebrate our birthdays on this trip. The stress of dealing with this room put a bit of an overcast on the sunny days we had.

If you are a senior over the age of 62, do not get an interior state room

Some interior rooms are upper/lower, others are side by side. You have to pay extra for a side by side.

Do you recall if there were other people in the room besides your wife and you? Perhaps someone was sleeping in the regular bed and that is why you had to sleep in the bunk. Tip: single bunk beds are common for third and fourth guests in many rooms including window and balcony rooms.

Disappointing

Room was as expected however additional fees (taxes) for waiters, room porter were unexpected. Using Global Entry card put us at the front of the line for debarkation so that was a plus!
