I enjoyed the experience very much and I will cruise again, it more than likely won't be on Carnival again as I feel they lowered their standards in order to cut cost and make cruises affordable for a larger demigraphic
Embarkation
3 out of 5
It was fine if you don't mind the rushed semi-controlled chaos. Staff were rude for the most part, no controlled flow of people or processes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Some of the worst food I have ever had in my life. Two decent places to eat (Guy's and Blue Iguana) and they both closed early). The main dining room (we were in the Fantasy Dining) was terrible. Food and service both felt like you were a step below a Cracker Barrel.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pool is way to small, they were so many kids on board we never could play putt-putt (went up several times to try and play and all the clubs would be gone). Tried using a hot tub on the serenity deck but there was never any bar service up there so we were constantly having to get in and out of the hot tub to get our own drinks. If I never hear "latin" music again it will be too soon or Cupid Shuffle.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
We saw one "adult" comedy show and I'm sorry dude was not funny at all.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Service was terrible in the main dining room. On one dining experience I had to ask 4 people just to get a Sprite and my husband had the same issue getting a Bloody Mary during brunch. Had the wrong food brought to me one time and the server actually argued with me that I was the one that was wrong not him.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was clean and seemed to be maintained but it is so outdated
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
It was roomie but the deck was so small it was almost scary to go out on, the bathroom had tape holding the shower to the floor and the curtains had holes in them.
We did a Carnival for our 1st cruise. we loved it . But then our in laws invited us on Royal Caribbean and we fell in love, our last couple have been on Royal and we are taking another on Royal in March with the kiddos
