Review summary

This cruise was supposed to be mother and son time. It did not meet expectations due to the dining, food and entertainment standards. We ended up watching movies in our cabin which was very claustrophobic. Lessons learned. We would never book an interior stateroom every again. The entertainment was not up to par. We enjoyed our much needed time together. The port experience was wonderful. We went horseback riding at the Banditos Ranch. Grateful for our time together. Staff members were all wonderful.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy to get on-board. Everyone was kind and helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Italian restaurant was okay. It seems the cooks take short cuts on recipes when they do not have the right ingredients. The main dining was horrible. Did not enjoy any of the food. Ate there one night only. The buffet items were good. The best part was the pizza on the deck.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We utilized the fitness center, sauna and jacuzzi. They were fine. We did not go in the pool. The poolside loungers were comfortable.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
We caught a bit of the comedy show of Valle but found it to be racist and a bit offensive. We left after a few minutes. We did enjoy the music of the 60s and 70s in the Liquid Lounge.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Hairi (cannot remember full name) was excellent for room cleaning. All other staff members were helpful and kind.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is maintained well.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
There was no window. There were weird noises throughout the night. People tried to enter our room at 4 am who were drunk and giggling. The beds were nice. Would not book an interior stateroom every again.

Ship tip

Do not book an interior state room.

Sorry. I love an inside cabin. Had balcony and ocean view. I love being able to close up in the middle of the day and do a nap. I love a dark room. Glad you enjoyed your time together

Appreciate your feedback. We too found an interior cabin claustrophobic. Can’t blame the cruise line for your choice. Sorry you found the one meal in the dining room so bad that you didn’t go back. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.
