Overall I really liked the ship. There's enough to do for everyone. The staff is friendly. Cruise director Mike also had good energy.

Carnival having us park off site and shuttle in as opposed to parking in the structure was an issue, delayed the start to our trip and was unnecessary stress for our less able bodied cruisers

Had a great experience with our MDR waiter Arnel. Guy's Burger Joint and Shaq's Big Chicken are such a great 1-2 Punch for included dining. MDR food was average. Lido buffet was also average.

I love the pools, waterslides and hot tubs. Mini golf and ropes course was also great.

Balcony cabin was fine, it's just a small room. Especially for 3 people.

Ship tip

Gotta get Shaq's Big Chicken. Lobby bar also serves coffee if Java Blue line is too long. Embarkation day BBQ is a must.

Catalina Island, California

Catalina Island is pretty cool. Not a whole lot to do but still relaxing. Tendering is always a hassle but it seemed to go relatively smoothly. We went to the brewery on the island but apparently they don't have any of their own beer?
