Review summary

Overall you get what you pay for. It is great for a first time cruiser, that wants to get a cruising experience without breaking the bank. Catalina island was definitely the winner of all the three ports. Ensenada is very dirty and run down. So, this is more just a getaway than a vacation. But overall we had fun, but likely won't book another trip on carnival radiance again.

Really cheap food in the dining room, tried to pass potroast off as prime rib. Waiter Antonio was inattentive and topped off my wife's lemonade with water, and said the mistake was her fault. Over all most of the food was edible, but please a remove the Guy Fieri restaurants, his burgers are unseasoned as the bbq is flavorless as well.

Friendly staff, no issues with staff, nothing to brag about either.

Ship seemed fine, but the smell of raw sewage seemed to be just about everywhere. We had to leave the casino due to the sewage smell. Maybe it's time to check the plumbing.

Ship tip

It's literally the walmart of cruising. Don't expect great food or over the top. I saw three physical altercations break out on board where security had to break up the fight. Definitely don't expect luxury experience.

Was happy to leave cruise director Paully was super obnoxious and every time.he made an announcement on the overhead it seemed like a 20 minute ordeal.

Remove Guy’s restaurants? What?!? LOL I loved the bbq on Jubilee and Mardi Gras. Very delicious and this is coming from a Texan - we know BBQ and while Guy’s isn’t the best of course, it’s definitely good especially for being on a cruise ship.

But Shaqs chicken sure helps 🤤. The other 2 carnival boats in Long Beach don’t have that and I loved it on the radiance.

Just came back off this same cruise and ship. Had an awesome time. Cruise # 24 I have yet to be on a bad cruise or ship. I hope your next one is better.
