Review summary

The food was very good. The ropes course was great. The waterslides were actually fast and fun. We brought our kids and grandkids. The only problem which would keep me from coming back to Carvel was trying to sit in the dining room with all 10 of us for dinner every night was a fiasco. Bad system needs improvement.

Food and Dining

The food was very good and the options were excellent. By far the biggest drawback on the ship was trying to get into the dining room at night. The app was not helpful. We had three different rooms and wanted to sit together and every night we had to wait at least 15 minutes for a table may be longer, we spoke to people with authority and they were unable to make it any better. Your system is horrible in this regard.

For your next cruise, you can link multiple rooms for same dining table every night before you get in the ship via carnival website through your booking and manage your cruise. We have done this for 10-14 in our group on multiple sailings in multiple rooms FYI

I’m sorry but I don’t believe a 15 minute wait for a table of 10 is excessive.

I agree with the dinner app. Fortunately, on our last two trips, we found a table we liked and they let us keep it if we walked in at opening, avoiding the phone app!

Thanks for sharing. Why not break your group up a little to accommodate a more pleasant dining experience? I bet the person at one end of the table for ten couldn't converse with the person at the other end anyway.
