Review summary

Overall, the cruise was a fun and memorable experience. We found the room to be spacious, excellent food quality and options, attentive staff, and great amenities (wet areas and kids camp). Our family of 4 enjoyed every minute of it, and will absolutely do it again!

Embarkation

The embarkation was smooth flowing based on having a set arrival appointment.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining was excellent. All the dinners we had in the main dining rooms were fantastic. A should out to I Wayan, Edgardo, and Faizal, who were our servers, and they were nothing short of phenomenal. Also, we also enjoyed the non-specialty restaurants, such as Big Chicken, Burger Joint, Deli, Pizza, BBQ, Blue Iguana, and Pasta Bar (lunch)... they were delicious a are incentive to come back to cruise with the Radiance again! We also did the Dr. Seuss breakfast, and that was a fun experience for the kids. For the buffet, I can only comment for breakfast on Sunday morning (11/5), and that was average. It would of been nice to have an "international" side to the breakfast to include dishes that other countries would have, such as rice, spam, longonisa (Filipino breakfast sausage), etc.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We utilized the pool, water slides, water play area and the kids camp. Kids loved it all as well as myself! However, I think it would have been more enjoyable if the pool water was heated as it was shockingly cold and it would take a few minutes of shivering and body flailing just to "warm up" to get adjusted to the water. 78-82 degrees (F) would be perfect!

Entertainment

We did not attend any Entertainment venues.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our kids loved the Camps!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As mentioned in the dining review, our waiters were exceptional! I Wayan, Edgardo, and Faizal, who were our waiters, were nothing short of phenomenal. Also, our room steward was fantastic! A shout out to I Komang who always ensured our room was tidy. The animal towels were a nice touch, and the kids were amazed by those!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for a family of 4.

Ship tip

I enjoyed the "GUY'S PIG & ANCHOR BAR-B-QUE" the most, but it also had the least availability, meaning it was only available on Saturday from 12:00pm-2:30pm during our "Day at Sea." I would advise sometime to make time to have lunch there, the brisket was my favorite!.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

We reside locally and are familiar with the area.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did not do any excursions, however, we did walk out and visited the vendors right outside the ports, and then utilized Uber to visit other stores (Starbucks, Costco, and Walmart) to fulfill our curiosity of what the locals consume for retail and food as they had items we do see in the US versions of the stores.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Dismemberment was smooth and efficient.
