Review summary

This is the second time we booked a poor choice of dates for The Radiance. Very poor enforcement of noise and disruption policies on the residential decks. Carnival makes these policies - ship's authorities need to enforce the "do not disturb" other staterooms rule. There is plenty of party-deck space high and low on the ship. I should not hear screaming or crowds of kids running up and down the residential corridors from my stateroom.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Great efforts put in by all food services staff and kitchens, Fine Dining steaks were riddled with grisel and fat. Otherwise food quality met Carnival-grade. Lido was particularly impressive.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We walked alot, and we over-fed ourselves, and we over-fed the slot machines.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The personnel in all areas were professional, friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Radiance had an impressive renovation. It is well maintained and in a good state of operation.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Decent size stateroom. Downright big compared to staterooms on Holland America's Koningsdam.

Ship tip

Do NOT book over a School Holiday week or Spring Break, etc. Lots of disruptive uncontrolled noise and chaos.
