Embarkation

Very easy and smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Other than the main dining and Guy’s Burgers, all of the included dining choices were average. Guy’s Burgers were really delicious and very filling. Sunset Main Dining hall was accommodating to our large party of 9, and food choices per day was very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Serenity Adults Only pool area accommodated only a minimal amount of people as far as seating area but the pool was worse - maybe 10 max adults could fit in there and that’s if they are standing along wall. Karaoke was crowded by same people daily who were waiting for their shot to fame. Comedy act started off funny but ended up closing with crude jokes. Rico was engaging in the “Love & Marriage” show, as well as the 80s tribute show.

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Arnell took care of our room immaculately and I was very glad to go back to relax in my room

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This cruise was a test to see if my wife could handle a cruise without ring seasick as she suffers from vertigo. She took measures each morning to make sure she would be able to tolerate any rockiness or swaying of cruise line. That being said, this cruise was overflowing to the brim with drunk adults and families with children. This was not a relaxing cruise but a party boat.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfort was exceptional. If I had any complaints, it would be that there were not enough electrical outlets available, but that is a minor issue

Ship tip

Offer more adults only pools and hot tubs so that the adults can experience some freedom from the ruckus

Ports of call

I definitely would recommend longer cruises. 7+ days. I have sailed Carnival many times and the only time I sailed less than 7 was in Radiance. Definitely had the booze cruise feel. Also it helps to sail in the off season to minimize the number of kids. In all honesty we try to only sail in the offseason.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. Happy you discovered that your wife is able to sail on a cruise ship. Sorry you were on a “party sailing”. I agree with others that a longer sailing would be better. Hope you have a wonderful experience on your next cruise.

Can’t tell from your review whether you were on a 4 or 5 day cruise as your sailing and review date are today’s date. But if you were I would recommend a 7 day or longer cruise. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks for sharing your review. Planning and research is a huge part of cruising. Looks like your eyes will be open to a future cruising experience that matches your patience level regarding drunks and children.
