Review summary

It was a short (4-day) cruise but it was still a memorable cruise for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. At Catalina Island we didn't get any excursion but we just rented a golf cart for an hour and toured the town with lots of spots for great pictures. The shops and restaurants gave us lots of options to visit and purchase. In Ensenada, we purchased the (last minute) Express Top Less Bus Tour that took us for a short drive along the beach and to spots in downtown and dropped us off there for some time for us to shop and eat, then they pick us back to take us back to the port. While on ship, we enjoyed our morning 1-mile walk on the track while enjoying the view outside of the ship. Wish there were more activities available for us to do. We did the mini golf, but doing once is enough on that. We enjoyed the PG-rated comedy shows (not so much on R-rated one, on the final night). Food is great. A couple of celebrity-restaurant food choices were available (Shaq or Guy). Servers and staff were all great and friendly.

Embarkation

Really easy and straightforward

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Lots of food, pretty much any time you want to eat

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Mainly did the daily jog around the track. Did the mini golf (once was enough) and jacuzzi

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Attended most of the shows. All were good except personally too much expletive language during the R-rated comedy show.

Children's Programs

We didn't have any kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great stateroom attendant and servers at dining room. All other servers/staff that we interacted were all friendly as well.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Pretty good but would like to have something like a library where we could get some good books to read, relax and enjoy the view with less noise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was all working nice for us. Good size, had everything we needed.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
Great embarkation process

Catalina Island, California

5 out of 5
Nice place. We rented Golf Cart to go around the island then visited the shops/restaurants.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
Did the (last minute) Top Less Bus Tour then visited the town. It's OK.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did our own carrying of our bags so it was a lot faster and smoother. There was a bit confusion toward the end of the process that some people kept asking us to get our Passports/IDs ready but at the end they didn't need any of those as they used the facial recognition tool. Overall, it was still nice and very smooth.
