Review summary

This was a quick cruise. The rating is 4.5 but 3.75 is more like it. Food wasn’t the best at least for dinner but Guy’s Burgers are very good. Problem is I didn’t go on a trip to just eat burgers. Fish was dry and overcooked, carbonara was one of the worst I’ve had, steak and prime rib was average at best. Breakfast brunch was good. This is a booze cruise and the hallways were way too loud until early morning. This is more inconsiderate people rather than the boat’s problems. Service was great, crew was great and that move the number as it’s averaged out.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Entering the boat was very easy and not issues. There were no lines we breezed right through

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Best food on the ship was Guy’s Burgers. These are excellent. The chicken sandwich places was good. Guy’s BBQ was ok. I would do it again although Brisket wasn’t bad. Buffett food I can’t comment except for breakfast. I wasn’t impressed with the amount of choices. scrambled Eggs looked like they were powdered not real eggs. The salmon eggs Benedict was good. The lack of choices was a negative although the breakfast bar with tacos and burritos looked good but I didn’t try it. I was disappointed with the deli. Breakfast brunch in the sunrise dining room was very good. Dinner’s were average. I did try the spaghetti carbonara and this wasn’t good. My wife’s fish was overcooked which made it dry. Fish is difficult for such a large group. The appetizer options were decent and I like them offering frog legs and other rarely offered items. I always option to the dining room for dinner. This wasn’t disappointing and it was over the top that’s why I gave a 3 of 5

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
This ship had Basketball courts, mini golf, rock climbing, track for people to run or walk. Pool in two different areas. Stadium style pool chairs which I liked. Adult area which was nice. I think this is done well.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I enjoyed the pool DJ and the comedy on ship. I didn’t do any other except bingo.

Children's Programs

No kids on boat

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was good. In cabin and during dining. We did have slow bar service while at the casino bar but I was happy with service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I like this ship. The layout was great

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was clean, layout was good, plenty of room and storage

AuntPinkie - you are correct - no climbing wall. Been on her twice, love the ship.

Are you sure there is a climbing wall on this ship? It isn’t listed in any of the Carnival web sites and it would be the only Carnival ship to have it. Royal Caribbean is the line that has the climbing walls.
