Review summary

Overall it was a great trip. This will probably be my families only cruise. You are in a confided space and it was too crowded for our liking. If someone is going on a cruise I would recommend it.

Embarkation

Great trip

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great. Shows were awesome. The comics were not the best.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
It was very hot and humid the whole trip. Based on this so many people were in the pools. All the pool water did not look clean. You could not see the bottom in any of the 4’4” pools. Based on this my family would not go in the pools. Carnival really needs to shock the pools every night with chlorine.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The musical shows were NYC Broadway quality. My daughters loved them. The comics were ok but not the best.

Children's Programs

No young children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My waitor Tyson and his team were awesome.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship and service was great. The only thing that was a bummer is the pool water was gross. As I mentioned above, I could not see the bottoms in any of the 4’4” pools. They need to shock those pools every night from all the swimmers in the pools.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Chris and his team were great. It was always cleaned very well.

Ship tip

Go to the sit down breakfast and dinner in the Normandy Restaurant. Way less crowded than the buffet.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Super easy in and out

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Island trip was great. Love the beach. Snorkling was great, we saw lots of fish.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
It appears the only reason we stopped at Freeport was for gas. It is in a very commercial area. At least 20 minute car ride to any beach. We had to be back by 1:00. Not enough time to do anything worth wild.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Was quick and fast.

As a Northerner (Northern PA) I went on a Bahamas Cruise last August on Magic, & it was waaayy too hot! I should have known! Will never ever do a July or August Cruise again!

If possible, try to cruise when school is in session for less crowding. Thanks for your review.
