Review summary
This cruise was excellent! The panama canal transit was the highlight and we are all glad we were able to see it in our lifetime. The ship itself was the rockiest cruise we've ever been on, but it didn't slow us down. The staff, service, food, and entertainment were all outstanding. They did a great job!Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
RedFrog Pub
Great atmosphere, drinks were plentiful, games were fun.
Alchemy Bar
Not as good as other Carnival alchemy bars. It was on a busy walkway, and only one menu for whole bar. (Had to share)
Bonsai Sushi
Sushi rolls were outstanding, everything was fresh. Extra price is worth it. Could eat there all day!
Normandie Restaurant
Service and staff were great. We ate there everynight.
Onboard Activities
Atrium
Drinks were good and entertainment here was fun. Nice place to sit.
Twister Waterslide
Honestly they were way faster than I thought, we went a few times.
Entertainment
Taj Mahal Main Lounge
Its better than the main theaters on Carnival's big ships! Plenty of seating. Good shows, even on a bumpy night where there was no dancing due to bad weather, they had a "piano man" rock show that was nice. 80's night was awesome.
Carnival Seaside Theater
They put the Lions v Bucs game on the big screen on lido, that was amazing! Otherwise, there was no room in pool or hot tub.

Ship tip
Older ship layout takes some getting used to. Bumpier ride but if you have your sea legs you will be fine.
