Review summary

We were on this cruise with a group of fellow cruise family (people we met through the awesome cruise community). Between this and sailing on our favorite ship it was an amazing cruise to remember!! Weather was great, the shenanigans were even better, and just the atmosphere of the fun crew made it the best!

Embarkation

Normally I would put a high rating for this but we had purchased the Airport transfer from Tampa Airport and we waited a long time to get our shuttle. We were cruising with a group and they were already boarded and we were still at the airport. They said that they were "waiting for clearance". This part was frustrating, but after we got to the port it was smooth sailing from there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the food and drinks we had on board were excellent!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We used the Serenity area a lot this cruise..our favorite spot :) Also we did do some waterslides.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
There were two bands that we need to point out.. the Mashup Band Brazil in the Red Frog Pub and the Atrium duo Buck & Oz. These two entertainers were amazing! So fun and interactive..oh and they can sing also :)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone that we dealt with have been so nice, friendly and would go out of their way to help you out with anything.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was our 4th time on the Pride and she is our favorite ship still! Just easy to get around on decks 2, 3 & 9. and in some areas you can tell she is showing some age but was very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This room was caused by the upgrade fairy :) It was so spacious and definitely easy for 2 people to stay in the room. Also the bathroom was nice and spacious. The only downfall (if you even want to call it a downfall) of this room was it has a regular sized balcony. This room was in the aft and has a crew stairway from deck 3 to deck 4 and it's right by the windows by our bed. We didn't have an issue with this since we never really opened the curtains and it was barely used.

Ship tip

If you are looking for a spot on the Serenity deck in the clamshell, go early! On a nice hot day they fill up quick!

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
We love sailing out of Tampa. There is a lot to see and do if you happen to be there a day or so before like the Florida Aquarium, Riverwalk, breweries, etc.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
This was our 1st time to Costa Rica and we did the Veragua Rainforest Tram & Trails excursion and it was absolutely beautiful! You got to see the beautiful greenery of the rainforest along with a waterfall. Also you got to try some fresh local fruits and did try a local brew!

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
This was our 1st time in the Panama Canal and if you haven't been there yet...you have to do it! It's such a fascinating on how the whole process of the locks work. After going through the locks we hung out in Lake Gatun for a little bit then returned back out to the Caribbean Sea.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
This was our 4th time in Grand Cayman and we did a snorkeling excursion through Captain Marvin's (booked through them and not through the cruise line). We went to 3 different spots on this excursion. We got to snorkel at this beautiful spot where there is a lot of reef and marine life for about 30 minutes. Then we went to Stingray City to hang out with the rays (we have been here before, but loved that we went back), and to Starfish point to see and handle starfish. Would highly recommend Captain Marvin's to anyone!

Disembarkation

Smoother than our embarkation. lol We had an airport transfer as well back to the Tampa airport and that was a lot smoother than embarkation
