Best service on any carnival cruise! Glad to return to cruising!
Embarkation

Smooth sailing even with all of the added protocols. From parking in the garage to walking on the ship was exactly 30 minutes.
Our checkin time was slotted for 12:30-1:30. We arrived at the parking garage at 12:21, walked across the street and were only behind about 20 people for the security line. Then waited in a short, second line to have covid documentation verified. From there, they sent us directly to the counter for full check in. We then were almost immediately directed to head up to the ship. We walked onboard at 1:01pm.

Food and Dining

Most of the food was great! - especially in the steakhouse.
Only thing we did not care for:
My husband did order (and pay the extra) for the lobster Benedict during the first seaday brunch. It was amazing! Topped with large full pieces of lobster and everything cooked wonderfully.
However, the last seaday brunch, he tried it again, but was not the same. Maybe they were conserving resources, but this time if was a mix of very small chopped up lobster and put into a creamy mixture (unsure if mayo or hollandaise) but it was a lobster roll substance with very small amounts of lobster.
This was probably the first time we have ever sent something back on a carnival cruise.

Bernice, Nel and Yam were a superb team in the dining room for late dining. Probably the best service we’ve ever had on a carnival cruise! We were placed in the farthest section of the dining room with a private table in front of the window.

Service was a little slow each night we had reservations. (Reservations were at 8) and dinner would be about 2 full hours each night. But the food was fantastic! And the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Honestly, this was probably the best service and most personality we’ve encountered on a Carnival cruise.
Ship Quality

Loved the layout of this ship! May be my new favorite.
However, a lot of the designs seem to be a little outdated and too dark. (Dark wood and dark paintings everywhere). Also a lot of rust on the outside of the ship, which is to be expected. But hopefully cleaned up soon
Costa maya- we didnt have anything planned. Walked off the ship and did some shopping, ate some local food and saw beautiful flamingos up-close.
Isla Roatan (mahogany bay)- we purchased a monkey and sloth excursion. It was amazing to get to hold the sloths, or have the monkeys jumping around on you. (The photos included are the tour guide).
It did get rained out before we were able to see the iguanas. But they took us to a shopping center 10 min away from the ship where we found an authentic greek gyro stand. They had great gyros and pork tacos.
Also, isla roatan was covered in bees everywhere!! (Picturesd on cocktail)
