Review summary
This was my fifth time on Pride and it was a bit of let down. Before you judge my review, know I travel quite a bit and always with an open mind. Now with that being said, Pride has been showing its age for awhile. I had a balcony room for my daughter (10 y.o.) and myself. We couldn’t really sit and relax because the tarp above us was ripped and would flap violently in the wind. The main dining room staff was excellent as always but the food was average. Between the two of us, we ordered steak about four times and every time they were extremely well done when we’d ordered medium rare to medium. We had a problem with our bathroom lights but that was fixed almost immediately. Half Moon Cay is absolutely gorgeous but I would like to see a change in the bbq menu, not that critical though. However, if it’s a Carnival island, why aren’t drinks included for those who had purchased the drink package? Overall, the cruise was fine but it’s about that time where I may have to choose a different avenue for vacations. Pride is fun for party goers or like the bar scenes, or for gamblers. Otherwise, there’s not much to do during the day (on sea days) that doesn’t include drinking or gambling, yes, bingo is a form of gambling. However, I will commend the kids’ camp as my daughter had a great time as usual.Embarkation
