Review summary

The best part of our cruise was our state room which was very roomy and we found the shower to be spacious and comfortable. Our steward, Made, was excellent!! Our dining room experience was great because we had Elvis and Dorel serving us. They were courteous and made sure we were happy. However, we found the food on the ship not up to par. Food was usually lukewarm when served. The fact that you could not find a trash can anywhere other than the restrooms was frustrating. We felt that the onboard credits were not enough based on where we were told we were going and what we ultimately received by staying in New York for 2 days. As Maryland residents it would cost us a lot less money to visit the New York than over $2000.00. I understand the cruise lines with keeping passengers safe but felt the cruise should have cancelled and our money returned. We only chose to stay on the cruise because we thought we would be visiting St. John.

Our steward, Made, was wonderful. He was always there asking if there was anything we needed and kept our cabin impeccable. We appreciate all his hard work!

A friend and I were scheduled for the Bahamas cruise that was diverted to New York and with hearts set on beaches versus something else, we called to make proper refund procedures. In lieu of refund , they scheduled our cruise for November 13, AND got a small refund to boot. It's my first cruise and I'm almost counting the hours!!

There's no garbage cans because your supposed to leave garbage and leftover food at your table or where you were sitting.

You had a choice to cancel and get a full refund. It was on the Carnival website most of the week and you could have signed up for text messages to keep updated on itinerary and ship.

Im almost positive they offered a full refund if you cancelled your cruise. And didnt you get obc and 25% off a future cruise?

As with the previous reviewer, you made the decision to board the ship. Last I looked , hurricanes do not follow a rule book. People don't realize that you don't just pull in to a port and dock like zipping into a parking spot at the mall. Deal with the fact that you made a decision and you were not able to make the best of the cards that you were dealt.
