Review summary
We stopped at Belize and Carnival decided to leave within 30 minutes because of the weather. At the next port the next day we spoke with people on Norwegian Cruiseline and they were able to make it to Belize as their cruiseline waited an hour or two until the weather turned around. We also missed Grand Cayman because they claimed the weather was bad, when the night before we asked guest services what the weather was going to be like there and they said 88 and sunny...?? We received no compensation for these last minute changes (missing 2/4 ports of call is missing half of our cruise). I understand weather can be out of control of the cruiseline but merely waiting an hour or two like Norwegian did would have been the PATIENT and correct thing to do.
Not to mention I was up until 4 or 5 one night night trying to get guest services to fix the very loud siren outside my room. Every person I spoke with said they would address it when their supervisor came in. I waited a full 24 hours without a response and called again. Apparently three of the times I called I was actually speaking to the supervisor, but he claimed he was not. Needless to say, the siren was never silenced and I did not sleep the rest of the trip. (We paid for a balcony upgrade, if I would have known I would not be sleeping I would have just paid for a regular interior stateroom.)
I would not recommend this ship or its crew, unless you want to waste money and lose sleep.
