Review summary

Nice ship, clean, attentive staff, A knob was broken on a stateroom thermostat and was fixed in 15 minutes. I had a button depart my suit jacket and the steward found a sewing kit for us. Dancing shows were good. Carnival kept us well informed of changes neccessitated by Hurricane Irene. Our departure was delayed one day for this reason and the itinerary modified and we had one day taken off the trip (to be reembursed). We got frequent Emails on how the ship was modifying the previous week's cruise, how they raced the Hurricane northward and what impact we would have on our cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining room food was good and well served...on a par with other cruises. Bakery buffet was outstanding.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Not a single negative here. I liked that the foreign hostesses were anxious to talk to Americans and interacted well. Their English skill were great and they all were trying to improve their skills by chatting with us.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved the stateroom we had and we got upgraded to a balcony. Later found out this ship is 80% outside cabins and 80% of those are balconies.

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Not very interesting.

Pros: Convenience of Baltimore Port...close to home

Cons: Assigned dining times...prefer freestyle.
