Carnival Paradise Cruise Reviews - Reviews

Mexico was great. I loved it had a blast for my anniversary. The ship however was one of carnivals older smaller ships. Our stateroom had a minor odor due to the hallway floor being wet. There were several blowers to dry it right by our door. I eould say the ship definately needs to be refurbished and maintanenced quite a bit. The food selection on the vruise was limited and on captains night they didnt go above amd beyond like they use too. Our host for the cruise was awesome. His name was Brandon he did a great job keeping the audience intrigued through out the cruise. On this particular cruise there wasnt many show on my cruise before this from miami to jamaica the had a whole broadway show not on this cruise. There was much do unless you were drinking or gambling would recommend more entertainment i paid quite a bit and this was by far the least entertaining.

Being out on the beautiful sea was wonderful. Not that impressed with Cozumel but loved Costa Maya. I did enjoy the catamaran, snorkeling and beach excursion on Cozumel. Our housekeeping staff, Suhardi and Vincensus, were tremendous. Always happy, polite and friendly. Tv was not good. Our shower and sink gurgled water on several nights. Need to make sure bar staff knows the soda package. We were charged three times when we shouldn't go have been. We went to customer service and received credit, but suggest bar staff get it right the first time. Although in need of an updated interior design, the Paradise was clean and great to be on. 

We enjoyed the service and food. The pools are way outdated and very small. I would wait until this boat (Carnival Paradise) is updated in 2018 before cruising on it.

My favorite part was the opportunity to relax.  There were ample activities planned throughout the day.  The only complaint I might have was, activities that I wanted to participate in, we're scheduled at the same time.  However, I would definitely recommend to others.

The staff, food, and entertainment were fantastic.  We also did the Chef's Table dinner - THAT was amazing!  This was our first cruise, so we figured a few things out along the way, but we had a great time.

We had a great time on our cruise to Cozumel and Costa Maya. The ship, our room, the staff, food, and service was fabulous! We'll definitely book again! Thanks!

Bar staff didn't not let us know when we bought a coconut head that we would have to throw it away at customs in Tampa .  12$ lost! I have horrible aniexty and this made me have a panic attack in the custom line and the label my paper in BRIGHT RED LETTERS !!!  NEVER AGAIN will I use the port of Tampa !

Had a wonderful time,  took my kids on their first cruise. They had a blast it was so much fun.... wasn't happy with kids club they didn't have age appropriate activities. My son was bored , destinations were great though.  Food was great.   can't wait until our next cruise!

There was a horrible smell in the room that came from the bathroom , it was disgusting. Reported to guest services and it was not fixed . We went on an excursion that was advertised for 6 hours and we got 4.5. No where in the description did it mention that transportation was part of excursion. Entertainment on board was very disappointing and some of the staff was a bit disrespected.

This was one of the older and smaller ships. Not a lot of entertainment or food options. The food didn't taste as well as it usually does. The fruit plater was the best thing. The guest service's area had the best customer service. This was the first cruise were I encountered rude staff. This was my 5th CARNIVAL cruise. I already had a cruise on the Vista booked before I purchased this cruise. I will definitely go back to Royal Caribbean. 

Carnival changed from Grand Caymen to Costa Maya.  Costa Maya is a very dirty area with very little to do.  all we got was room credit.

Built in gratuities ensures that you will not get good service.  they are getting paid anyways. 

Ship Needs Maintenance

I had a blast!!!!! Especially visiting Costa de maya; the ATV excursion was fun and the beach afterwards had open bar!!!! In Cozumel the beach day excursion also had open bar . The comedy shows, karaoke, and game night was very entertaining and fun. Only downside was I wished I booked a longer cruise.  

we enjoyed the cruise itself. We did not enjoy Mexico at all. Mexico beaches were not the best. I would not take the excursions that we took this trip again. There was not enough time to explore the area. 

Weenjoyed the cruise itself. The bartenders were great and called you by name.They remembered you every night. The shows were great and our cruise directer Johanthon was hilarious. 

I thought it was fun, i was very  dissappointed when our destination got switched to costa maya and have no interest in going back there. Ivan at the casino bar was very nice.  Absolutely loved the band from the casino bar (i cant recall their names but it was a black male singer and a white female) Danjel in Elations dining did a good job, and also Mr T. From elations was a great waiter and hilarious! The nightclub was a dissappintment, as the casino bar was way more fun. Ni Lou was our housekeeper and did a fabulous job taking care of us and was so nice! I loved most of the contest that went on throughout the boat and wish there were more of them...very entertaining and we got to participate in a few 

The people were great..... The drinks were great....Food was great.....Overall great ship...... We are plann8ng to take another cruise again very soon. 

My favorite part was the love and marriage show that shows always funny I left the hairy contest show but unfortunately I missed that and the food was excellent even though I think I gained 5 / when I get home lol 

The room was great. Had a nice big window and the man who helped us with our room and all of our questions was the best. The excursion in Cozumel was not fun at all. The dune buggy was old and broke down. 

The ship was a little dated but  looked clean. Everything seemed to work ok except the ship itself. The food was below average. A couple of nights I had to send my food back and order something different. Example: the lasagna. It was a noodle on the top, a noodle on the bottom and NOTHING but meat in between. The ship itself was apparently not in good working order. We were notified a couple of weeks before we sailed that because the ship wasn't operating at optimum speed we had to scratch our trip to Grand Cayman and go to Costa Maya. They gave us a whopping $25 credit for our inconvenience. Also, to get to certain parts of the ship you had to pass through casinos and bars where tobacco smoke thick. As a customer with a terminal lung disease I was not pleased to have to walk through that. I understand that you need places for people to smoke, but don't make those places a public thoroughfare. I consider Carnival to be the Walmart of cruising. Yeah it's cheap, but it's not great quality. I will say that our room steward, Raul, was excellent. He was very attentive to what we needed. I was glad to give him an extra gratuity for his service. I don't plan on ever sailing with Carnival again.

Did not enjoy the cruise ....everything was wrong guest services was rude and dinning attendance was rude too and the waiter tried to give us used water jug from another table and also used utensil.  The housekeeping service for my daughters room was horrible their room wasn't clean for the first two days. Me and daughter got stuck in the elevator on the tenth floor. Just wasn't happy about this cruise at all.

The ship itself was just decent...you can tell that it is an older ship.  The staterooms are very small and the color was atrocious.  We had to wait to get in our room when we first boarded due to plumbing issues and the water in the bathroom sink still smelled like sewage.  The food was average...we ended up with food poisoning from it.  There really isn't much to do in Costa Maya.  Not sure why this is a destination....Carnival should be ashamed for taking money to go there...We really just made our own fun on this trip!  I can say that I did get some beautiful pics in Cozumel.
